National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

Two members of our Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee, Nasra Esak and Katrina Taibi, provided a seminar on issues related to National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. The slides prepared by Nasra and Katrina can be found here.

We discussed the recommendations of the Truth and Reconciliation Committee, and ways to make the justice system more open and inclusive to Indigenous people. The seminar helped us to learn about the injustices suffered by Indigenous people and how we can do better.
