CaseLines Now in East and Northwest Regions
The Ontario Superior Court of Justice has issued a Supplementary Notice to the Profession and Litigants regarding the CaseLines document storage platform.
CaseLines has now been implemented in Toronto. On March 1, 2021, it was expanded to the East and Northwest regions. In these regions, CaseLines will first be used for selected civil, family, and criminal proceedings, including civil long motions, pre-trial conferences, and trials.
The East region is comprised of Belleville, Brockville, Cornwall, Kingston, L’Original, Ottawa, Napanee, Pembroke, Perth, and Picton. The Northwest region is comprised of Fort Frances, Kenora, and Thunder Bay.
Province-wide expansion of CaseLines will continue throughout the spring and the early summer. The court anticipates that all regions will be using CaseLines by the end of summer 2021.
