Gemma Healy-Murphy was recently quoted in Canadian Underwriter in an article called “Additional Insured – The Most Litigated Insurance Concept“.

The message from the article is that, if a contract requires a party to be named as an additional insured, make sure that proper insurance coverage has been obtained. Further, before signing the contract, it is preferable to check if the intended insurance coverage is even available.
