Michael Kryworuk

Michael Kryworuk articled with the firm before returning as an associate in 2022. His civil litigation practice includes insurance defence, motor vehicle accident claims, occupiers’ liability, municipal liability, and product liability.

Michael obtained his Juris Doctor from Bond University on the Gold Coast of Australia in 2020, with First Class Honours and a Specialization in Canadian Law. After returning to Canada, he completed his qualification exams with the National Committee on Accreditation.

In law school, Michael participated in a number of mooting and leadership experiences including being selected as an International Mooting Oralist in the 2020 Wilson Moot on Canadian Constitutional Law, held in Toronto. He also participated as an oralist, mentor and judge in several in-house mooting competitions at Bond. Michael also took on multiple roles in the Canadian Law Students Association including as Competitions Director, Secretary and Treasurer.

Prior to law school, Michael graduated with a Bachelor of Management and Organizational Studies with a Specialization in Finance and Administration from the University of Western Ontario. At Western, he also served in appointed positions on the University Students Council as the Associate Vice-President Clubs and Member of the USC Grants Committee as well as elected positions on the Model United Nations Society and the Ukrainian Students Club.

Michael also has previous experience in public policy and government having served in various policy and communications roles at the municipal, provincial, federal and international levels, prior to pursuing law.

Outside of work, Michael enjoys travelling, history, board games, and keeping up with current events and pop culture.
